Jack Reacher

Tom Cruise attempts to undertake the role of the famous character that is about 6,4' and 200 lbs. Thoroughly convincing in everything apart from appearance.

The story is wonderful and the film is just as good. A violent film but not unnecessary violence. The plot was clever and unfolded neatly into the next part of the film as it went along. Jack Reacher is the ultimate hero because he does not consider himself to be a hero. A man with nothing to lose makes a damn good hero because he is only fighting for himself. There are times when you thought that his compassion would have got in the way but as he said himself, he doesn't care so you can't use anything against him.

The way that the stunts were done was pretty impressive, especially the car chases. The chase was just something extraordinary because it didn't try too hard and wasn't quite as ridiculous as you would see in the James Bond films. Everything in this film was measured and precised, everything was typically characteristic of the fictional character Jack Reacher.

I know that there are more books and a part of me would like another movie to be made but I am not really sure that I can see how they would. It wasn't left open for another film but that doesn't mean to say that they cannot make another film.
