An american in Paris

Another Gershwin based musical, this time in colour. Gene Kelly is the american in Paris and the story is similar to Casablanca.

Gene Kelly is of course absolutely marvelous in the role, which is no surprise if you have seen singing in the rain. He's got an awesome voice and he really enriches the song 'I Got Rhythm', along with 's wonderful, 's marvelous' and 'Nice work if you can get it'.

It is of course a musical and the costumes are slightly dubious, but rather typical of the period of time and something that artists and people in fashion would be proud of. I enjoyed watching it and listening to it. I love watching people who can actually dance dance properly and sing at the same time. It shows quality and education that every actor went through in their training.
