The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

Yes- I watched it in Swedish with English subtitles.

After watching the film I decided that i would keep it- which is rare and means that i really liked the film. Some of you probably have seen the Daniel Craig version... I will watch that as well before New Years and post on it. I watch all the remakes of films that are on the list, as i did with the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and sweeney todd, although i may not have posted them because there wasn't much difference between Sweeney Todd and I wasn't a huge fan of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Anywho- the girl who we all know as Madame Simza from Sherlock Holmes a game of shadows, shows us just why she's worth watching on screen. The film has everything in it. She's a professional hacker and provides research for people. The case we meet her on is one of a journalist who's been set up and sentenced to prison. He takes on an assignment to find a missing girl or discover the identity of her killer before he goes to prison for a few months. Of course, he needs her help and she finds him and helps him out, finding the girl and also solving some other unsolved cases as they go.

I don't want to spoil it- it's a truly awesome film and her character development and understanding is awesome. I know that people (mainly my sister) complained when they made a remake and I can see why. There was nothing wrong with the film, except that it wasn't in English, but all that means is that you actually have to watch it instead of multitasking. I really liked the film, liked it enough to keep it instead of throwing it  out. There's always something to keep you watching, never a point when you could go to sleep. I don't think that it got the credit it deserved because it was Swedish. It deserves a lot of credit and the actors deserve a lot of credit as well, it was a truly awesome film!
