Funny Girl/ Funny Lady

No surprise that since Glee has hyped this musical up to be so amazing I thought i'd watch it and as I was watching Funny Girl, i thought i'd watch the sequel as well.

It's easy to watch and quite entertaining, but between the two films, it only has 'Don't Rain On My Parade' that's a show stopping tune you walk around singing.
I felt that the first film, Funny Girl- the tale of a young Jewish girl trying to make her way on broadway by performing in choruses and making people laugh by constantly getting her words and dance steps wrong.
Eventually she becomes the main girl in all her stage shows and becomes noticed as Fanny Brice. She falls in love with a Gambler; Nick (can't spell the last name).
Eventually they get married and all things are going well, until Nick starts losing all the time at cards, gets caught up in the wrong business and gets arrested. After his arrest he divorces Fanny.

The second film, Fanny gets re-married to some songwriter guy and eventually they get divorced as well. Nick marries some other woman and thats about all that really happens.
There are no memorable songs and when you think that Rachel Berry from Glee is based on Fanny Brice, you can see why she is so irritating.

I'll give it to Barbara, she's got a great voice and can really act... it's just that her character is too irritating for a second film that doesn't have a single memorable song in it. When i say memorable, I mean the type of song that you would walk around singing, a song you would know without having seen the musical.
