Absolutely Fabulous

The film that I really wanted to see. So many films have come out/ are coming out but I didn't want to see anything as much as I wanted to see Ab Fab the movie.

Jenifer Saunders always makes me laugh and so does Joanna Lumley. I knew that this film would be nothing but fun, I went expecting it to be nothing but an entertaining film with no real plot- just a lot of comedy and I was very wrong. Jenifer Saunders actually wrote a plot for this film, nothing complex and exactly what you would imagine as a plot for Absolutely Fabulous the film.

Alcohol was expected. This film is about how to continue living the life when you are past your sell by date, have reached your age limit and exceeded it by ten years and are desperately trying to be someone. They never give up and they never stop entertaining and that works well and is something to be admired. A whole host of famous people made cameos in this film and that tells you how important Jenifer Saunders is still in this world. Rebel Wilson was probably the pick of the cameos. As a flight attendant she looked like she had jumped out of being a Barden Bella in 'Pitch Perfect' into standing on a plane and refusing to do anything other than irritate Joanna Lumley.

Kate Moss was wonderful, she had a stunning cameo in a sparkling green dress and being pushed off of a balcony by a combination of Celia Imrie and Jenifer Saunders. Celia Imrie was lovely and wonderful as always in her role- no need for speeches, just a need for her to smile at the camera and be her wonderful self at all times! The love for the bottle never changes and it was lovely to see that they had drunk their bollinger cabinet clean and then needed to find some money from somewhere. So after escaping the country because she was blamed for the death of Kate Moss, Saunders and Lumley make it to France using Saunders' granddaughters credit card and then they marry off Patsy (Lumley) to the richest woman around (Marcia Warren).

Marcia Warren was fantastic. I loved her in 'Vicious' and it is good to see that she was not made to be better than she was by staring in a tv series that's main stars were Ian McKellen and Derek Jacobi (yes I know that the correct titles are Sir for both). Once you have seen her in this film you realise that she is a superb actress and comedian in her own right, she doesn't need big names to make her look good and she isn't past it either. She may be the same age as Jenifer Saunders but she does well as older characters.

Very happy after seeing this film.
