World War Z

Seems to be another film against zombies and the apocalypse. I can't fully understand why someone would want to make another one of these films, I mean, it's not like it hasn't been done many times before.

If you have to copy someone else's idea then who better to use than Brad Pitt? He's been in a few of these films before, he hardly needs directing. If you can then why not? I guess the answer to that question would be 'because of everyone is bored of it- we've seen it all before and there is nothing new that they can do with it'. This is true. Everyone thinks that they are having a new idea or an idea to make the idea in some way different but they aren't. It doesn't matter how much of a story you put around the idea, they story gets woven in to the plot of an apocalypse and it becomes the same film that you saw ten years ago or even fifty years ago in black and white.

Take a fantastic actor like Brad Pit, we all know that he is fantastic because we have seen many of his films, watched him countless times in his films taking on different roles through his long career. This film is another that he can add to his list but it is not necessarily a film that he should have made. Off the top of my head I can't remember if he has made a film as close to this as World War Z- the closes I can think of is 'Twelve Monkeys' and so it is another different film but the film plot is boring and I do feel like he saw something that we as the audience didn't see when he received the script that convinced him to take the part. The film is not bad in any way it is just slightly boring in a sort of same-old feel to it.
