Milk.

These films are turned in to a list and then selected randomly so if you're wondering why two films about homosexuality ended up so close to each other it is because they were randomly picked and we knew nothing about them before selecting them to be on the list.Image result for milk film

Milk is a biographical drama about gay rights activist Harvey Milk, staring Sean Penn as Harvey Milk and James Franco as Scott. Most notably about this film is that it was written by Dustin Lance Black who is the fiancee of Britain's diver Tom Daley. Support Gay rights or don't, that's up to you but you can't change the fact that this film is educational and a part of world history. Gay people share your world, they didn't ask to be gay, they were born that way and they have to deal with it, learn to accept themselves and so do you- hating them wont do any good to anyone, it's not their fault that they are like that and they deserve to be happy so accept it and open your eyes.

Milk is one of those films that reaches in to your heart and slowly starts to push against it, as it speeds up your heart rate increases because for many people it is something close to their hearts, we can remember these events taking place or we grew up learning about it. You probably know someone that is a homosexual, even if you aren't aware that you do it is highly likely that you do, so watch this film and be prepared to learn things and become more accepting of us.

James Franco is probably the pick of the group. With everyone staring at Sean Penn it is James Franco who delivers the performance of his life. So often it is not the star of the film that actually is the star of this film. You can't necessarily say that the acting was out of this world, films like this win the awards that they win because they are historical and real. Seeing everyone rally behind this guy is incredible, we all know that it can happen- it happened with people rallying behind Nelson Mandela and Dr. Martin Luther King JR but for it to be happening years after that, behind a white man who is making the run as a politician, trying to achieve things differently and for someone who appears to be much older than his other followers- this is different, this is special. Watch it, learn from it.
